Look Out ! It’s the Blotter !

From the desk of the always-astute Lt. Ron Izuka of the Culver cCty Police Force – the Crime Blotter for April 5th through 11th.

Car Burglary:
On April 5, 2011 at 8:00 am, a victim called the police station to report that her vehicle had been burglarized. The victim said she parked her 2009 Mercedes Benz in the 5200 block of Purdue Avenue at 8:00 pm on April 4th. When she returned the next morning at 7:30 am she discovered her property was missing.

Car Burglary:
On April 5, 2011 at 9:00 am, a victim called the police station to report that her vehicle had been burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked her vehicle in the 4100 block of Ince Avenue on April 4th at 7:00 pm. When she returned the next morning at 7:00 am, she discovered her property was missing.

Street Robbery:
On April 6, 2011 at 12:25 pm, officers responded to the 3900 block of Landmark Street for a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he was waiting for the bus near the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Inglewood Boulevard at 7:30 am when he was approached by a suspect described as a male Hispanic wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. The suspect produced a knife and demanded his property. The suspect then fled on foot.

Commercial Burglary:

On April 8, 2011 at 8:39 pm, officers responded to the 3500 block of Schaefer Street regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the manager of the business who told them the following; he said the business was locked and secured at 8:00 pm and at 8:25 pm, he received a call from the alarm company of an activation. The suspect(s) appeared to have entered the location through a window and removed property and fled the location.

Stolen Car:
On April 10, 2011 at 9:20 pm, officers responded to the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard regarding a stolen car investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; she parked and locked her 1994 Honda at 6:00 pm and when she returned at 7:30 pm her vehicle was missing.
