Bike and Walk Committee Meets Jan. 30

Culver City is creating a Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan to encourage and improve walking and biking in our city. The plan also has the potential to increase connectivity between West LA and Downtown LA as well as the upcoming Expo Line! The city is holding a series of meetings and workshops in order to engage the public and listen to their ideas on how to make it easier and safer to bike and walk in the city. This meeting, the 4th Public Workshop, is an important meeting because there will be discussion of the proposed maps and input taken.

When: Saturday, January 30th, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

10:00 am – 11:00 am: Public Advisory Committee Organization
11:00 am – 1:00 pm: Workshop

Where: Garden Room, Veteran’s Auditorium. 4117 Overland Ave, Culver City.

Both bicycle and car parking is available and free. For information on Culver City Bus routes visit: http://www.culvercity.org/bus/bus.asp.

The Public Workshop for the Bicycle and Pedestrian Initiative is a part of the PLACE Grant: Safe & Healthy Streets Plan, a collaboration of the L.A. County Bicycle Coalition and the City of Culver City. To view the maps, provide input online, and for more info go to: http://www.ccwalkbike.org
To learn about the funding agency, PLACE (Policies for Living, Active Communities and Environments), go to http://www.publichealth.lacounty.gov/place/.

Take you bike, or put on your sneakers and get to the meeting. Culver City can only become what you want it to be if you share your vision.
