The Culver City Council commended Scopely on its 15th anniversary as a globally recognized video game and interactive entertainment company. “We are honored to receive this [commendation] in this city that we love so much, where were we founded. It feels really good. ”
The comments from Eunice Lee, the Chief Operating Officer of Scopely, were a part of the ceremony as she stood in the ‘well’ of the Mike Balkman Council Chambers. and offered her thanks for the City’s Commendation. “On behalf of everyone at Scopely, and especially everyone in Culver City, we want to sincerely thank you for this recognition.”
The interactive entertainment company is known for popular games such as Start Trek Fleet Command and Pokemon GO!
Roy Rosenthal, Scopely’s Chief Legal Officer, said that Scopely was focused on “inspiring play every day – part of that is inspiring communities with our games. We accept this with continued commitment to Culver City. Thank you for this honor.”
Headquartered in Culver City since 2015, the commendation for Scopely noted its “innovation, economic impact, support of local businesses, engagement with schools, and contributions to Culver City’s reputation as a hub for creativity, technology, and economic growth.”
