There are two things that can make you feel great about a yard sale. First, you can clean some closets and get rid of those things you always meant to use – the coffee grinder, the backgammon board, the carpet sweeper- and pass them on to a good cause. Then, you can look around and see what tickles your fancy- the travel mug, the sun hat, the crystal candy dish – and contribute to a great cause.
Do both at the Advocates for Language Learning Yard Sale at El Marino Elementary School on this Saturday morning. From 6:30 a.m. (early birds get the bargains) to 1 p.m. All funds raised with benefit the Japan Exchange Program.
The sale will be at the El Marino Language School Front Lawn, 11450 Port Road, the corner of Port Road and Hayter Avenue. You can contribute the things you don’t need, purchase a few things you like, and give to a great cause- hey, that’s three things. What a bargain!
