Resident Joel Steingold wrote a letter to the Culver City Police Department commending Officer Michael Fairbanks and Parking Enforcement Officer Peter Shulman for their services. Mr. Steingold was rear ended while stopped at a red light and Fairbanks and Shulman were the first to arrive on scene. Mr. Steigold wanted to praise the officers for “going beyond the call of duty” by being very helpful and for providing excellent service. According to Steingold he has never received such good service from a police officer and it was nice for him to know that Fairbanks and Shulman remembered that their primary job is to serve and protect.
