Crime Blotter – Stuff Gets Stolen

Crime Blotter for May 31st to June 6th.

Residential Burglary:
On May 31, 2011 at 7:55 officers responded to the 10600 block of Youngworth Road regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following: She had locked and secured her residence at 9:00 am and returned at 3:00 pm and discovered her front door’s dead bolt lock was unlocked. The victim checked the location and discovered her home to be ransacked. She also noticed some of her property missing.

Car Burglary:
On June 1, 2011 at 6:05 am, officers responded to the 4200 block of Tuller Avenue regarding a car burglary. The officers met with the victim who told them the following: he was in his home when he heard glass breaking and his car alarm being activated. He went outside and discovered his 2005 Isuzu truck’s front passenger window had been broken and some of his property missing.

Street Robbery:
On June 2, 2011 at 7:25 pm, officers responded to the area of Washington Boulevard and Landmark Street regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he was walking westbound on Washington Boulevard when he was approached by 2 suspects who asked him to see his wallet, fearing for his safety he handled over his wallet. The suspects then fled to a waiting vehicle and left the area.

Stolen Car:
On June 2, 2011 at 1:30 pm, a victim called the station to report his vehicle had been stolen. The victim said his wife parked his 2005 Chevrolet in the 3800 block of Culver Center Street at 10:15 am. When she returned at 11:00 am the car was missing.

Street Robbery:
On June 5, 2011 at 11:50 pm, officers responded to the area of Washington Boulevard and Sepulveda Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he was walking southbound on Sepulveda Boulevard when he heard someone say “break yourself” so he turned around and saw 3 suspects. Suspect 1 then punched him in the face and he fell to the ground. The suspects then pulled his pant pockets and removed his property. The suspects then fled the area.
