Farnsworth Named as New Principal for Culver City Adult School

The Culver City Unified School Board announced the hiring of Lynda Farnsworth as principal of Culver City Adult School, who approved by the board at its June 14 meeting.

Since 2017, Farnsworth has served as assistant principal at the East Los Angeles Occupational Center, where she implemented a school-wide positive behavior reinforcement support system, assisted in the development and implementation of community-based programs and technology plans, provided instructional leadership in professional learning communities and more.

She previously served as assistant principal of Central Coast Continuation and Educational Options, where she supervised and evaluated instruction and supervised and provided leadership to the school’s assistance, counseling, health services and conflict resolution programs. Farnsworth has also worked as an advisor to the Reseda and Franklin Alternative Education and Work Center (AEWC), as a faculty instructor at Glendale Community College and as a teacher at the North Hollywood AEWC and West Valley Occupational Center.

Masterson earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies and a master’s degree in educational administration from California State University – Northridge.

“Lynda is a passionate and innovative school leader who builds strong school communities with a focus on continuing education,” said Superintendent Quoc Tran. “We are pleased to welcome her to the CCUSD family and look forward to the positive impact she will have on the students and staff at Culver City Adult School.”
