In Celebration of Earth Month, several of the Office of Child Development’s preschool classes have been actively engaging students to think about the planet they live on . Children are being taught and many of their lessons are centered around the theme “Think Earth.” Happily, it seems that everyone is getting into the act.
One classroom has embarked upon a recycling project. Together, with parents and children, they have created a recycling center outside of their classroom. In keeping with the theme “Think Earth,” several preschool classes collaborated and conducted a neighborhood clean-up on Friday, April 22 in celebration of Earth Day.
Teachers and children have committed to continue throughout the month to go out once a week and pick up trash in the neighborhood near their school.
