The Summer Concert Series at City Hall is one of the most popular events in Culver City, and has been produced by Gary Mandell of Boulevard Music for many years. Mandell will speak before the Çity Council tonight, Feb. 7 regarding Producer Services for the 2011 Culver City Music Festival. If you like the concerts (or if you don’t) you are welcome to come down to Culver City City Hall (9770 Culver Blvd) at 7 p.m. and fill out a card and speak your mind. If you like the artists he has presented at the Summer Concert Series such as The Riders in the Sky, CJ Chenier, John Jorgenson, Ricardo Lemvo, Tommy Emmanuel, Katia Moraes, The Hot Club of Cowtown, The Infamous Stringdusters and more he would be glad to continue producing the series for the 11th year. If you can’t make it and would still like to comment you can go online to culvercity.org and email a letter to be read at the meeting.

In previous years, I have been astounded by controversy surrounding what should be a very simple decision. Let’s acknowledge how lucky we are to have Gary Mandell on our side.
