LWV meets at the Library – April 20

The League of Women Voters Culver City Unit meets this Tuesday, April 20, in the Community Room of the Culver City Julian Dixon Public Library. Judith Martin-Straw , publisher and editor of Culver City Crossroads.com, will be the featured guest, (I’m sure you’ve heard of her,) helping to deconstruct last week’s election in Culver City, and talking about the upcoming election in June.

Non-members and prospective members are always welcome. At
11:30 a.m. we will socialize over brown-bag lunches and do a bit of League
business. At noon we start a program which will be over by 1:30 p.m.,
(but if you need to get back to work we’re never insulted if someone
has to leave early.)

I’m sure the subject of our City election schedule will come up, so
you might also want to take a look at

of Torrance wants to go back to an April election after a few years of
consolidation with the June primary.

We’re now in the middle of the too-short space between our April
election and our June election. Have we learned anything in April that
will help us in June? I hope so.
