At the Feb. 20 luncheon of the Culver City Democratic Club, retiring Congresswoman Diane Watson offered endorsement for city council candidate Meghan Sahli-Wells. Watson took Sahli-Wells by the hand and said “I want to support you. You can use my name.”
Sahli-Wells was pleased to accept.
Watson has only rarely endorsed candidates for local offices, and will be retiring from her congressional seat rather than standing for election in the upcoming race.
