Culver City Seeking Input on Next Steps for Homelessness Plan

The City of Culver City has begun the process of updating its 2018 Plan to Prevent and Combat Homelessness. To update the plan, the City is seeking input from community stakeholders, including people who live, work and take part in the Culver City community.

Community members are invited to attend input sessions scheduled on Saturday, January 24th from 11 AM – 1 PM in the Patacchia Room at Culver City City Hall (1st floor) Two identical presentations will be offered during this window—one at 11 AM and another at 12 PM, discussion and input to follow. Virtual participation is available.

Since declaring a homeless emergency in January 2023, the City has taken unprecedented steps towards solving homelessness, and continued working to complete all the goals included in the Culver City 2018 Homeless Plan.

Most significantly, Culver City has reduced the number of people living on the streets through a holistic, responsive and comprehensive approach to service delivery and housing that prioritizes leading with care.

The Culver City 2024 Homeless Point-In-Time (PIT) Count revealed that 115 persons were unhoused on the streets of Culver City, a 32% decrease from the 158 persons counted in 2023 and a 66% decrease from the 229 unhoused persons counted on the street in 2022.

For more information about the City’s efforts, please visit the Addressing Homelessness in Culver City webpage.

All members of the Culver City community are welcome to participate in the session.

Meeting details and Zoom links are listed on the Culver City community calendar.
