CCUSD Board Approves PIQE Classes for Parent Education

The CCUSD Board of Education voted unanimously at the February 13, 2024, to approve Parent Institute for Quality Training (PIQE) at La Ballona Elementary. According to the board, the “PIQE will engage, empower and help transform our families to become active participants in their children’s education journey by providing them with the knowledge and skills to partner effectively with schools and communities, ensuring that their students achieve their full potential.”

In the making for two years, this is a unique collaboration between La Ballona and CCUSD Adult School, which is providing the funding, as well as the education to the parents. No CCUSD general funds are going toward this initiative.
