CCUSD Appoints Members for Bond Oversight Committee

At the Jan. 23, 2024 Culver City Unified School Board meeting, appointments to the Bond Oversight Committee were formally accepted. After an active recruitment period, the Board unanimously appointed multiple representatives from a cross-section of the school community and the community at large to serve on the Measure E Bond Oversight Committee.

Measure E is the School Facilities Bond that is on the March 2024 ballot. Ensuring that funds from Measure E are being spent appropriately, the board approved the mission, duties and bylaws of the committee.

The duties of the Oversight Committee include informing the public, reviewing expenditures, and presenting the board with semi-annual reports.

Applications were reviewed and vetted by an independent committee to determine that the minimum qualifications for participation were met.

While almost all of the schools are represented (Culver Park still has no voting member) several community positions are vacant. Applications will continue to be accepted until those vacancies are filled.
