Join Westside Urban Forum for a tour of the exciting art and architecture of Metro’s new A and E Line subway stations in Downtown LA. See the new ground-breaking Systemwide Station Design architecture and large integrated art works commissioned by Metro Art. Also, we will see future sites planned for mixed-use joint development adjacent to the station sites.
We will meet at the Grand Av Arts/Bunker Hill Station street level (2nd and Hope Streets) inside the fare gates at 10:00 am Friday, September 8, 2023.
Adam Light (WUF Board Member and Sr. Director of Metro Systemwide Design) and Zipporah Yamamoto (Sr. Director of Metro Art & Community Enrichment) will lead the tour.
Access via transit is highly recommended and encouraged, particularly given on-street parking is limited and paid parking can be expensive. The station can be reached:
Directly, via the Metro A and E rail lines,
Via transfer from the B and D lines at 7th St/Metro Center Station to the A or E Line in the direction of Asuza and East LA respectively,
Via transfer at Union Station to the A Line in the direction of Long Beach,
Also, the Metro 14/37, 90 and 55 buses stop within a block or two of the station.
