CCUSD Board President Paula Amezola (pictured on the right) and Board members Triston Ezidore and Stephanie Loredo joined the CCHS Robotics Team – 702 Bagel Bytes – at its sponsor and community event last week. The team shared the impact it is making in inspiring the pursuit of careers in STEM, developing valuable leadership, team-building and life skills and of course, building a robot to compete globally in FIRST Robotics.
The event attracted more than 70 people; and the club had a chance to show off its robot, the work of its subteams, and raffle off gift vouchers, making more than $1,600. This week’s goals were to do more drive practice, start creating the project’s autonomous code, and make final competition preparations.
The team is scheduled to compete in the Los Angeles Regional Robotics Competition March 16-19, 2023.
