On September 24, 2022, Dan O’Brien will be screening “Bottle Shock” as a fundraiser for his campaign for City Council. The event will begin at 6:30, with the film commencing at 7:30, and (of course) wine ( and appetizers) will be served.
The film is a 2008 comedy-drama loosely based on the 1976 wine competition termed the “Judgment of Paris,” when California wine defeated French wine in a blind taste test, causing an international uproar. O’Brien was the film editor on the production.
O’Brien is running for one of two city council seats in the November election.
