Dear Editor – Photo Causes Furor

Dear Editor:

I’m shocked and surprised that you would publish a picture that does not at all depict the vehicles being purchased for the Culver City Police Department. The picture you showed appears to be similar to a tank, when what is actually approved are vehicles that look much like Amazon trucks or even the new downtown Circulators.

The vans are being purchased to help protect our citizens, visitors, residents and police officers. I strongly urge you to do your homework and publish a picture of what truly has been approved for the CCPD’s use.

It is inexcusable to publish something that is blatantly false.

Please act quickly to retract your photo and publish what is, in fact, being allowed.

Thank you

  1. Dear Vicki Daly Redholtz,

While I would be MORE than happy IF the vehicles did look like those pictured, because what is the point of an “Amazon truck”?

In any case, where can I, the Editor, and others see photos of the actual vehicles? It would have been nice if you “helped us do our homework” by sharing a link or other means of seeing the actual vehicles.

  2. Hi good questions- the photos are on the city website and posts on Facebook by CCPD – one of its main uses will help temporarily shelter victims of crimes – sorry I dont have the photo myself

  3. Congratulations on completely contradicting the single most important part of any news source’s bio.
