The Wende Museum’s second program in the In Search of Truth series will be a panel discussion on the role of truth and truthfulness in education. Members of this student council have invited Dr. Kelly Kent, neuroscientist and member of the Culver City School Board, and Catherine McTamaney, Associate Professor of the Practice of Education at Vanderbilt University, to discuss the social responsibility of teachers, the sociopolitical context of teaching methods and teaching objectives, and the importance of critical thinking in times of fake news, alternative facts, and conspiracy theories.
