Cold War Spaces – Policing and Perspective with Stuart Schrader

In the Wende Museum series ‘Cold War Spaces’ an interview last October with Alex Vitale about American policing in the US, has led to a bigger look at the international perspective. Host Joes Segal will be returning to the topic of policing. “I will speak with Stuart Schrader, Associate Research Professor of Africana Studies; Associate Director of the Program in Racism, Immigration, and Citizenship at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore; and author of Badges Without Borders, about American counterinsurgency teams during the Cold War, and how they helped shape police culture at home.”

Cold War Spaces is free to access online, but reservations are required. Wednesday, August 11, 12 p.m. PST: Stuart Schrader – Counterinsurgency Space: American Policing Abroad and at Home
