City of Culver City Suspends Plan to Begin Hybrid Teleconference/In-Person City Council and Advisory Board Meetings

The City of Culver City is suspending plans to transition to hybrid City Council and advisory board meetings, which would have featured in-person attendance in the City’s Mike Balkman Council Chambers, as well as participation by virtual teleconference format.

The suspension of the plan to move to hybrid City Council and advisory board meetings follows a July 16, 2021 revision to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Officer Order, which requires all people, regardless of vaccination status, to use masks in indoor public locations. In recent weeks, community transmission of COVID-19 throughout the County has rapidly increased from Moderate to Substantial.

To help safeguard community health and safety, the City of Culver City will continue to conduct City Council and advisory board meetings in a teleconference format at this time and until further notice.  The next City Council meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 9th at 7 PM.
