What’s a wonderful way to be generous, brilliantly entertained and well fed? Support the Academy of Visual and Performing Arts. The annual online auction is now open, and there are dozens of wonderful items to bid on, from a stay at a Big Bear retreat to a basket of fantastic holiday tamales.
The students, supporters and parents of the Pink Elephant Music Company, the Blurred Vision Theater, Danger Zone Dance and Young Film Makers have all come together to discover works of art, gift certificates, food, clothes, coffee, tea, and all those unique and delightful little items that make ideal holiday gifts. Go to avpa.org/pasilentauction/ to bid.
The auction is live until Dec 12, 202o, at 3 pm, and more items will be added as they come in. Make sure to check back and stay on top of your bid until the finish.
So, that’s about being generous.
If you didn’t get a chance to enjoy the delicious fundraiser at EK Valley, it’s been extended to the end of the year. No flyers needed, just mention when you order that you are there for AVPA, and they will donate five percent of the price of the meal to the AVPA.
That’s about being well fed.
Brilliantly entertained? You can enjoy the last three performances of the Blurred Vision Theater Company production of “She Kills Monsters” tonight, Saturday and Sunday at https://avpa.org/shekillsmonsters/
There is also the upcoming Fall Dance Concert, the Winter Music concert and the Comedy Improv shows to look forward to; brilliantly entertained!
So, for a bit of online bidding over an amazing meal, you can help the dancers, musicians. actors, film makers and artists to continue doing their best at one of Culver City’s most beloved institutions – the AVPA.
