Allaire Joins School Board Race, Fisch Endorses Menthe, McMorrin Files

Anne Allaire announced her campaign online August 9, 2020 making her the second incumbent to declare for the office. She has served on the Culver City Unified School Board for the past five years, and holds a Masters Degree in Knowledge Management from CSUN.
The field for the school board has doubled in the last week, and there are now four candidates running for two open seats; both incumbents, as well as former school board member Scott Zeidman, and Paula Amezola, Parks and Recreation Commissioner.

Vice Mayor Alex Fisch has also endorsed Darrel Menthe in his race for city council. “Darrel has the intelligence, insight, compassion, and wisdom to represent all of Culver City immediately. He will build bridges at a time when many pressures threaten to drive neighbors apart.  I look forward to serving with him.”

Yasmine-Imani McMorrin, the earliest announcer, has filed papers for the council race on August 6, 2020. “Our city is facing a diverse set of issues, and needs someone with a diverse set of experiences to propose solutions that work for everyone who lives, works, learns, and plays in our city.”
