In our quarantine cravings, the longing for Mexican Food took to the top of he list, and our #Takeout Tuesday went to Paco’s Tacos on Centinela in Culver City. A long time favorite, known for home made tortillas and some of the best refried pintos on the westside, Paco’s is the ideal of simplicity. Tacos, burritos, combo plates and a few special items that really show off their expertise; carne asada, chicken poblano, Yucatan pork, all worth the indulgence. You will have to pick up, so get the face mask and head on over.
With so many holidays on hold or postponed, let yourself enjoy Takeout Tuesday. Your locally owned restaurants need your business, and in all likelihood, your kitchen needs a night off.
We are all in this together, and keeping these businesses alive will make a major difference in helping our city recover in the coming years. The Los Angeles Times noted “If you have the means, consider buying a meal for somebody in need. Gift cards are a great way to support your favorite restaurants, but buying food right now helps keeps workers employed. ” Check out the new FeedCulver.org and get in touch to volunteer.
Stay engaged. “Make a list of your top 10 restaurants that you would hate to see close and support them at this time because 75 percent of them may eventually close.”
