Culver City Unified School District (CCUSD) believes that no child in our community should go hungry or have food insecurities, especially on the weekends when there is not access to school-sponsored breakfasts and lunches.
In conjunction with CCUSD, our schools run a weekly backpack program to ensure that every child can eat on the weekends. Each week, backpacks are filled with non-perishable food and snacks for children to take home over the weekend anonymously.
There is no cost to participate and enrollment is 100% confidential. If you would like your child to receive a backpack, leave this form with the front office of your school. Your child will be called to the office at the end of school on Friday to pick up the backpack full of food to take home. Your child returns the backpack to school by Tuesday so that we can
refill it for Friday pick up. Enrollment is ongoing so any child in need can sign up for the program at any time throughout the school year.
