Some things just need a little fixing, so bring them to the Summer Repair Café! Hang out with friends and meet new folks at our new venue, Culver City Presbyterian Church on  Saturday July 15th, 2017. Open to the public from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

If you’ve never attended this quarterly event, don’t miss this one! Bring something that’s broken and our talented fixers will do their best to make it useable. Fixers are usually on hand to tinker with small appliances, computers, and wooden objects. Other volunteers repair jewelry and make quick clothing repairs (not major alterations, of course!).

You may EMAIL us ([email protected]) in advance to tell us about what you have for repair. It’s helpful to bring any manuals along with the item.

Come to the Culver City Presbyterian Church Social Hall at 11269 Washington Blvd (at corner of Globe Ave.) Culver City, CA 90230
(across the street from the new Habitat for Humanity site)

Park for free on Washington Blvd., or Globe Ave. Parking lot in back for drop off. Optionally take the green Culver City Line #1 bus, stop #21 (Sawtelle Blvd.) Return using stop #23 at Sepulveda Blvd. Buses run every 15-20 minutes during the WRC. Bike riding encouraged!

The Westside Repair Café (WRC) team (Our Time Bank & Transition Culver City) has joined forces with Culver City Presbyterian Church to host the next Repair Café!

Our last WRC, hosted by the Culver City proved to be fun, as usual, with our dedicated volunteers bringing their skills to the table and a couple of new skill-providers. Most volunteers received haircuts done by professional stylists; and we left with shinier shoes…yes, a new station!

Bring a dish or snack for 10-15 people for our lovely zero waste pot luck. Check out our free table and clothing swap, a place where you can leave exciting items you no longer use, and pick up something to take with you. It’s a wonderful community-building event, so come on over!
