The Culver City Woman’s Club is hosting its annual Ice Cream Social on Saturday, June 3rd, as an official part of the Culver City Centennial celebration. The event will honor Lillian Culver, who was the wife of Harry Culver, the founder of Culver City, and was one of the original members of the Culver City Woman’s Club. The social will be at the Culver-Palms Methodist Church, 4464 Sepulveda Blvd., Culver City, from 12:30pm to 3:30pm. In addition to the ice cream and dessert delights there will be sandwiches for the children so that they can come for lunch AND ice cream! Entertainment will include a performance by the Overland Avenue Quartet from the Santa Monica Oceanaires, starting at 1:30pm. Our popular balloon expert, Toni Owens, will be concocting balloon hats for the children all afternoon. There will also be door prizes and a raffle for a handmade quilt.
Tickets are $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for children 3-12 years old, and free for children under 3 years old. ALL proceeds from this event will be given to the Culver-Palms YMCA for their camp scholarship fund. So come and enjoy the goodies and send a deserving child to camp!
