In a collaborative effort between parents, teachers, staff members, and students, next year’s calendar features an Instructional Start Day of August 28th, an End Day of June 15th, and the ability for middle and high school students to finish First Semester coursework before Winter Break (which will take place from December 25th – January 5th next school year). Additionally, when Yom Kippur falls on a School Day in 2018, that day will be used as a Local Holiday in lieu of the second President’s Day Holiday available to be “flexed” in California schools.
This calendar framework will also guide the finalization of the 2018-2019 Calendar which will be presented at an upcoming School Board Meeting for approval.
