Culver Park High School recently held a reception to thank its community partners for another great year. The event included refreshments, a student performance and a student art display.
Among the partners recognized at the event were: UCLA for its programs helping students prepare for community college and higher education; YMCA for its student fitness programs; K9 Connection for offering students the chance to train homeless dogs and break through learning and life barriers; ArtworxLA for programs surrounding performance art, photography and sculpture; and the district’s sustainability program Green5 for its efforts in promoting environmental sensitivity and recycling efforts.
CPHS Principal Veronica Montes praised the partnerships for giving her students a renewed interest in learning and a clear path to success both in and out of the classroom.
