Kaiser and CCEF Support Sandy Segal Health Center

center-renamedThe Culver City Education Foundation has procured a $5,000 grant from Kaiser Permanente that will support Adolescent Mental Health Services at our Sandy Segal Youth Health Center (SSYHC). These funds will enable SSYHC counselors to work with students on improving classroom behavior, impulse control, communication, family relationships, peer relationships and conflict resolution.

The on-campus center provides free quality health care for hundreds of Culver City youth each year, along with supportive services and health education benefiting entire families. Services are provided in collaboration with the Venice Family Clinic for the physical medicine, the Los Angeles Child Care Center for the mental health component, and volunteers. Sandy Segal Health Center is a safe place where teens can speak with someone about whatever is on their minds and get the care they need.
