Please join the Culver City Democratic Club for an important General Meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 13 for a forum featuring candidates for the 54th Assembly District Special Election. Refreshments will be served starting at 6:45 PM and the meeting will start at 7PM.
The election will fill the remaining term of former Assemblymember Holly Mitchell, who is now serving as a Senator for the 26th District. The election will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3. The three Democrats running in the special election have been invited to participate: Christopher Armenta, John Jake and Sebastian Ridley-Thomas. Each candidate will be allowed an opening and closing statement, and there will be an audience Q&A. We will then hold a vote to decide who will receive the club’s endorsement. To win endorsement, a candidate must receive at least 60 percent of the vote in the endorsement election.
