CC Foodie -Taymore Dinner Now Open for Reservations at New School of Cooking

If you think you know the most wonderful place to have dinner in Culver City, you may have to set you sights just a little higher. Registration is now open for an exclusive meal prepared by one of the country’s youngest and most award-winning chefs, with an eye towards raising money to build a rooftop garden in downtown Los Angeles.

The event, featuring Alma restaurant’s Chef Ari Taymore, begins at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 20 at New School of Cooking, 8690 Washington Blvd. in Culver City.

Alma was recently named the “Best New Restaurant in America” by Bon Appétit magazine. Taymore’s cooking style relies on farm fresh, healthy ingredients.

Attendees will have a four-course dinner with beverage pairings for $125 each. Proceeds will go to Taymore and farmer Courtney Guerra to build a rooftop urban garden above the restaurant.

The New School of Cooking has been offering its unique, hands-on classes in Culver City, California for 14 years and is widely considered to be the finest boutique cooking school in Southern California. Small class size and an incredibly talented faculty are the foundation of that success. The school offers recreational classes on a wide range of themes, from Asian Noodles to Artisan Jams, short series such as Basic Pastry and Healthy Cooking, our signature “ProSeries” in both cooking and baking, and the flagship programs of the school – Advanced Professional Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry Arts. In addition, the school hosts book signings, pop-ups, and special events throughout the year to bring the diverse culinary world to our audience.
