Vintage Faith Helps To Feed CCUSD Families

Recently, the Vintage Faith Foursquare Church assembled and donated 10,000 meals to Culver City Unified School District. Nearly 100 members of the congregation spent their church service being of service to the hungry families of our local school district.

Through an organization called Feeding Children Everywhere, the church bagged 10,000 lentil and rice casserole bags that were immediately boxed and given to CCUSD.

Pastor Matt Kladnik met CCUSD Superintendent David LaRose at the recent Mayor’s Luncheon. LaRose said there were many CCUSD families in need, and Kladnik wanted to be of service to his community. Within days, the pastor had organized an effort to provide 10,000 meals to CCUSD families.

After singing several songs and hearing a brief sermon, the excited men, women and children of the church and some CCUSD parents worked around the tables pouring rice, lentils, seasoning and freeze-dried vegetables into bags and sealing them for boxing. All the while, music played and tables cheered as the boxes were filled.

Our CCUSD families thank Vintage Faith for its generosity. This is one of many efforts to ensure that the students of CCUSD are Safe, Connected, Cared For, Challenged, Healthy and Hopeful.
