The recent tragic events in Connecticut have many Culver City parents wondering about the safety of their children on the school campuses. United Parents of Culver City (UPCC) is sponsoring a school safety forum at 7pm Wednesday, Jan. 23 to help address these concerns. Participants include CCUSD Superintendent Dave LaRose, Culver City Police Chief Don Pedersen, and other City and District personnel, including mental health professionals. Also attending are Mayor Andrew Weissman and Culver City Council members, and School Board President Kathy Paspalis, and other School Board members. Parents, just a reminder that this forum may cover topics that might not be suitable for very young children.
Parents and Community members are invited to RSVP for this free community forum, and submit questions and issues that are important to them.

GOAL OF THE FORUM: The goal of the forum is to seek a meaningful dialogue between parents, the community, the District and the City about school safety and how CCUSD handles emergencies. United Parents of Culver City, CCUSD and the City of Culver City have been working together in planning this community forum.
