The Culver City High School Academy of Visual and Performing Arts will be offer three Spring Concerts, with the CCHS Orchestra and Concert Band, along with the AVPA Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Music Tech, and Jazz Combos. Tonight’s Concert will feature“Cry Me a River”for Jazz Ensemble with vocal soloist, “Hungarian Dance No. 1” for Orchestra by Brahms “Ahrirang” – traditional Korean folk song for Orchestra“Of Endless Miles and Empty Rafts” for Concert Band by Michele Fernández. This piece is a work honoring the struggles and triumphs of immigrants of all generations.
CCMS Open House is this evening as well – please arrive early for parking.
The April 25 Concert will also feature guest musicians from Longmont High School in Colorado.
The CCUSD Music Program has been recognize by the NAMM Foundation as one of America’s “Best Communities for Music Education” for the 5th consecutive year!
