Ecostar – 13th Annual Creepy Crawly Creature Feature

Walls that Crawl! Frightening Fangs! Furry Legs! It’s time to BUG OUT at the 13th Annual Creepy Crawly Creature Feature, September 9th from 11am-3pm! Located at the STAR Eco Station, this interactive entomology and arachnid expo for kids presents hundreds of bug, spider and butterfly specimens, outrageous edible insects, scientists and specialists, games, crafts, and food! Visit our icky exhibit that features 40 creepy tarantulas! Take a break for something beautiful as you walk through our Butterfly Garden. Control robot bugs and learn the bzzz-worthy facts about beneficial bugs and composting worms from our own staff scientists. Examine local species of bugs under special microscopes. Sample snacks that used to squirm served at our “Bug Buffet”. We promise that your skin won’t be the only thing that’s crawling!

STAR Eco Station is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit 18,000 sq-ft environmental science museum and exotic wildlife rescue center in Culver City that provides environmental education, field trips, gifted and talented instruction, classroom instruction, after-school enrichment, school assemblies, mobile museums, and community events that annually reach one million learners of all ages. Through a partnership with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, STAR Eco Station rescues and houses “at-risk” and endangered exotic wildlife. With a mission of “Preservation through Education”, STAR Eco Station is dedicated to creating a new generation of environmentalists committed to protecting the Earth’s resources.

STAR Education, is a charitable 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization committed to helping students reach their full potential by offering affordable extended academic, recreational and enrichment programs; supporting and enhancing school curricula; inspiring student achievement; and expanding the cultural base of young people. Cost for entry is $6.00 for kids, $8.00 for adults, and $5.00 for STAR Education students*.

Admission prices include a tour of the STAR Eco Station and any activities located inside the Eco Station.

*Must show proof of STAR registration for discount.
