If you’re a parent of a child at Linwood Howe Elementary, you’re invited to the Culver Hotel bar at 5pm this Sunday evening (Jul. 29th) for a happy hour meet-up to talk about the search for Linwood Howe Elementary’s next principal.
As you may know, Principal Amy Anderson has decided to take a position closer to her home, and CCUSD will soon begin interviewing candidates to replace her. Fortunately, there’ll be two Lin Howe parent representatives sitting in on those interviews: our PTA President (Kathy Marasciulo) and our Booster Club President (Paul Walsleben). But before the interviews begin, our parent reps need to hear from *us*: What kind of principal do we want for our kids? What qualifications are we looking for? What questions would *we* ask the candidates? What do we need to see in the next man or woman to lead Lin Howe?
Paul and Kathy will be there on Sunday, eager to hear your thoughts on all this stuff. Your voice matters, so come let it be heard!
Apps will be served. No host bar. The meeting runs just one hour, so DON’T BE LATE!!!
See you Sunday evening,
Patrick Meighan
How will you address the achievement gap between your English Learners and your fluent English speakers? How will you address the gap between your Students with Disabilities and non-disabled students? Christine, are you a parent of a Lin Howe student? If so, you oughtta have been to the meeting on Sunday to suggest that those questions be asked of the principal candidates!
