Culver City needs to hear from you about what you think we need to do with/in/for our green spaces. There are two offerings of the Green Space Public Workshop, Saturday, April 28, 10:00-11:30am and Wednesday, May 9, 7:00-8:30pm, (identical interactive workshops, different times), in the Rotunda Room, Veterans Memorial Building , 4117 Overland Ave. (at Culver Blvd. ). Open to all who use Culver City parks, paths, and open spaces, including Ballona Creek!
Participants will learn and share ideas about the types of passive recreation, or wellness activities, they would like to see and do in our parks and open spaces. Subsequent workshops will focus on preliminary designs for possible eco- and people-friendly improvements.
This project is a collaboration of North East Trees, The City of Culver City, the Culver City Unified School District , Ballona Creek Renaissance, and the Green Space Advisory Committee. Learn more about the plan at www.northeasttrees.org/Culver-City-Green-Space-Plan.asp. Mark your calendars, and check for details, fliers, and updates at www.ballonacreek.org!
Editor’s Note – did I remind you that we need more outdoor yoga classes ?
