Crime Blotter – Purse Leaves Office

Commercial Burglary:
On December 20, 2011 at 9:00 am, a victim called the police department to report her purse had been stolen. The victim said she was at work in her office located in the 5400 block of Sepulveda Boulevard on December 15, 2011. Sometime between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm, a female suspect entered her office and stole her purse from a desk in her front office. The suspect was described as a female Black in her forties.
Street Robbery:
On December 21, 2011 at 8:30 am, officers responded to the 4600 block of Elenda Street regarding a robbery. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he was walking home on Overland Avenue around 5:00 pm, when he was approached by a male suspect described as a male Latin, heavy set, 17-19 years of age and wearing dark clothing. The suspect grabbed him and went into his pockets and removed his property and then fled the location.
Car Burglary:
On December 21, 2011 at 12:00 pm, a victim called the police department to report his car had been burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked his 2002 BMW in the 13400 block of Washington Boulevard at 4:00 pm. When she returned at 5:15 pm, she discovered her property missing.
Residential Burglary:
On December 21, 2011, 9:30 pm, officers responded to the 4100 block of Layette Place regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; she left her residence locked and secured at 7:10 am, and when she returned at 8:45 pm discovered her bedroom window had been broken and her property missing.
Residential Burglary:
On December 22, 2011 at 6:45 pm, officers responded to the 6400 block of Green Valley Circle regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the reporting parties who told them the following; The R/P had responded to their neighbors unit to feed the cat while the owner is on vacation. The R/P noticed the front door had been forced open. The R/P also noticed the unit had been ransacked.
Vandalism:
On December 23, 2011 at 6:15 pm, a victim called the police department to report he was a victim of vandalism. The victim said he left his residence at 12:30 pm, and returned at 4:30 pm and discovered his living room window had been smashed out.
