The Culver City Redevelopment Agency and The Music Center of Los Angeles County will present the world premiere of T.R.U.S.T., created and performed by Diavolo, on Saturday, April 16 at 11 am and 2 pm as part of the Rainbow Day family program. The performances will occur in the Multipurpose Room of The Help Group’s Culver City Campus located at 12101 West Washington Boulevard. Free reDiscover Center art workshops will be held at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm preceding the performances. This event is presented on the west side of Culver City which is experiencing a time of revitalization.
Diavolo is an exciting group of dancers, gymnasts and actors who use everyday objects in their unique performances. T.R.U.S.T. celebrates and explores this quintessential component of the Diavolo aesthetic. Dancers fly, fall, jump, catch and challenge their personal boundaries using structures such as doors, ladders and benches as the vehicles for expressing their trust in one another. The reDiscover Center promotes creativity in early childhood and elementary education while encouraging environmental responsibility. reDiscover recycles discards donated by businesses and gives them new purpose as hands-on learning materials.
The Help Group, the nation’s largest, most comprehensive nonprofit serving children with autism spectrum disorders and other special needs, is a sponsor of the event as well as Sony Pictures Entertainment. Free parking is available at 4173 Inglewood Boulevard off West Washington Boulevard. The performance is recommended for elementary school-aged children.
