The Boneyard is Open !

Dogs race into the newly reopened Boneyard

After many long months of waiting, the Boneyard (Culver City Dog Park) is once again a place to play.

Since the discovery of the seepage of liquid and the presence of very low concentrations of methane gas (which, according to the City’s outside consultants, did not pose a risk to public health or safety), the Dog Park was closed on September 28, 2010.  Extensive remediation work was necessary to restore the Dog Park.  The necessary work is now complete, and the Dog Park officially re-opened on March 3rd.

Volunteers are still welcome for March 12 and 13 at the park for the official  re-opening celebration — pick a time period that suits you to help at the greeting table. More volunteers are needed  on the 12th. The Friends of the Dog Park will be there both days,  9 am to 4 pm. Got the the Facebook page for Friends of the Culver City Dog Park and sign up to help.

  1. Thank you for your article. This is great news.
Do think we can petition for a little patch of grass? My French Bull Dog would be soooo grateful.
