Homes With Heart – Heather Coombs-Perez

As we celebrate the holidays and 2010 comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on how quickly time seems to pass, while feeling both nostalgic and expectant at the same time. During these moments of reflection, I can’t help but think about how welcoming and warm the holidays always feel when we take some time to sit back and relax, removed for a minute from the hustle and bustle of shopping and parties. It’s a great time of year to “just be”, enjoying how peaceful and calming a quiet night at home is.
I have lived in a handful of homes during my lifetime and each one holds special memories of gatherings, holidays, monumental birthdays, and even my children’s homebirths. It also conjures up thoughts of home improvement projects past and future, and all the other items that seem to crop up at some point during home-ownership. Our homes are so much more than just structures. They are a road map of our life’s journey—both the challenges and celebrations. The place where hearts comes together and life-determining decisions are made.

I feel very connected to my home, so it doesn’t surprise me that I have a passion for selling Real Estate. To have the opportunity to walk alongside buyers in their journey — discerning a comfortable price point for their lifestyle, discovering the right neighborhood, finding the house they can see spending their future in, and observing their complete joy when they receive the keys to their own home –gives me great happiness. And it’s this same journey, in reverse, that warms the hearts of our sellers–knowing that someone else will love their home and neighborhood as much as they did in years past.

When you find a moment to reflect on this past year, or the previous chapters in your life, acknowledge your home for the place it holds in your family’s experiences. Home is much more than just a shelter to keep you warm, rested and safe. It’s where most of “the good stuff” in life happens and we want to hear about it! Send me an email at [email protected] and “Like” us on Facebook at Heart Realtors, to tell us what you’re grateful for in 2010, or looking forward to in 2011. You could win a $40 gift certificate to Culver City’s hot new gastropub, Waterloo & City. One lucky winner will be chosen on Jan. 7, 2011.

We hope you have a safe and blessed Christmas, and if we can help bring you joy in the new year by finding you that perfect home, or the buyer who will cherish the home you need to sell, visit us at www.HeartRealtors.com.
