On Thursday, Sept. 23, from 7 to 9 p.m. a coalition of groups will host a Green Living Workshop with Assembly Speaker Emeritus Karen Bass. Come to the The Garden Room, (hey, how very appropriate!) Veterans Memorial Building, 4117 Overland Ave. (at Culver Blvd.). Sponsored by the AD 47 Peoples Council & Environment Commission, this helpful workshop features an overview and breakout sessions focusing on shopping and food, water usage and sustainable gardening, and toxics in cleaning products, led by Sustainable Works, the Culver City Garden Club, and Coalition for Clean Air.
