Do you ever wonder why there are always so many great books at the library book sales? Culver citizens like you donate them, so that the library can sell them and use the proceeds to keep hosting fun events for everyone to enjoy. On Saturday, Sept. 25 The Culver City Friends of the Library will hold a book sale at the Julian Dixon Library, and there will be hundreds and hundreds of cool books, great DVD’s, kid stuff, and esoterica to scoop up at bargain prices. All proceeds go to benefit the Culver City library, one of the busiest libraries in the Los Angeles county system. The sale will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers may email [email protected] to sign up and receive their school credit (Volunteers: please arrive at 7:30 a.m). See you on Saturday!
The Culver City Julian Dixon Library is located at 4975 Overland Avenue, Culver City. Overflow parking is available one door to the north of the Library at 4909 Overland Avenue.
Editor’s Note- The odds of finding a space in the library lot are not high, but the odds of finding a pace in the overflow parking are excellent. Save yourself ten non-refundable minutes of your life trying to make a left turn against traffic on Overland, and just park in the overflow lot. That gives you more time to read, or shop, or both.
