Westfield Culver City held their “Back to School Bash” Saturday August 21 with an array of fun activities for students, including a Back to Cool Fashion Show. There were Disney movies and crafts, including creating tiaras, crowns and lunch boxes.
The Bash was also the kick-off for a two-month $2500 fundraising effort with Millions of Milkshakes, which will benefit Culver City Education Foundation (CCEF). A custom milkshake called “Brain Booster” was created, and for every “Brain Booster” milkshake sold until October 31, Millions of Milkshakes will donate $1 to CCEF.
To launch this fundraiser, Westfield Culver City donated $1000. Westfield General Manager Chuck Martinez presented the check to CCUSD Interim Superintendent Patti Jaffe, School Board President Steve Gourley, School Board member Patricia Siever, CCEF President Lise Friedman, and CCEF Executive Director Leslie Adler. So go to Westfield Culver City and support the Millions of Milkshakes fundraiser by buying a “Brain Booster” to benefit CCEF! It’s twice as good. Yummy now – Smarter later. You are now on your way to the mall, feeling very thirsty…
