The Literary Uprising is one way that Antioch celebrates and shares the art of creative writers within the AULA community. Each quarter, a BA student, an MFA student and a faculty member are invited to share original work at a free reading that is open to the public. The event, co-sponsored by the BA program and the online literary journal Two Hawks Quarterly, begins with a wine and cheese reception and includes three 15-minute readings that often conclude with a book signing of the readers’ published work.
On August 24, BA student, Jane Monteagle; MFA student, Dana Stringer; and Faculty reader, Bernadette Murphy will be presenting their latest literary works at 6 p.m. in Room A1000 on the AULA campus. Books will be available for purchase. Please contact Andrea Richards at [email protected] for more information.
