You may have noticed a number of billboards around Los Angeles announcing “You Lucky Dog,” premiering on the Hallmark Channel on June 26 at 9 p.m. If you are driving slowly enough, you’d see the film is written by the president emeritus, and current board member, of the Culver City Friends of the Library, Kevin Commins.

Starring Natasha Henstridge and Harry Hamlin, it’s a touching story about how an unwanted and unloved dog brings a troubled family together. Since it’s a Hallmark film, it’s completely family friendly. If you are looking a a family movie night, or just want to enjoy the work of a local writer, tune in and watch.
