The Culver City Chamber of Commerce was honored at their annual California Legislative Summit in Sacramento on this past May 17 and 18. The Summit is an annual event where business issues and government meet in a dialogue of statewide issues that affect all Californians.
The Keynote Luncheon’s speaker was commentator from Newsweek/MSNBC. California Chamber President Alan Zaremberg presented Culver City Chamber along with 20 other chambers the President’s Award for their consistent involvement in Business Advocacy on the state and local level as well as providing California Labor Law information and compliance posters to local businesses.
The Culver City Chamber was honored as the California Chamber’s Political Partner of the Year for it’s involvement in the 6th State Senate District election to fill the unexpired term of now Los Angeles Supervisor Mark Ridley -Thomas that was filled by Curran Price Jr.
Chamber Chair Jeff Haas, owner of Haas Entertainment stated, “ The Culver City Chamber is doing what is expected as a normal course of business, advocating for business in Sacramento, educating the business community on the changing economy climate, and networking. Our members are benefiting from their membership because of our pro business agenda to insure a better quality of life for everyone.”
