The Assembly Committees on Environmental Safety & Toxic Materials is conducting an oversight hearing on Friday May 14 from 1 to 4 p.m. in regard to the state and local regulation needed to protect the public health and environment surrounding the Baldwin Hills and Inglewood oil fields in Los Angeles County. This hearing will examine the State and local regulatory agencies responsible for insuring that oil production facilities do not pose a public health or environmental hazards.
