On Thursday, June 18, 2026, the Culver City Fire Department was called about a dumpster fire at 3825 Willat Ave., and discovered a burning building. At 10:15 pm, units arrived at an address listed as Los Angeles Audio Rentals, a one-story industrial building of approximately 5,000 square feet, and immediately evacuated several individuals from inside.
The address, near the Culver City Expo Station and the Museum of Jurassic Technology, is adjacent to the Hayden Tract.
Both fire and police were involved, and several streets in the area were temporarily closed to facilitate emergency vehicle access.
The fire was ‘down’ by 11 pm that evening, and the area was reopened.
Culver City Police have an investigation ongoing into whether this was an act of arson.
